Swing Wings

Website redesign

Jan – May 2018

Swing Wings is a dance school in Brno focused on traditional jazz dance styles. The school needed a new website and as a member of this amazing community I volunteered to do the job.

With my colleague and friend Martin Danko we conducted a user research among the students as well as the school leaders and teachers.

Based on our findings, we created three personas and redesigned the whole information architecture and content strategy to fit their needs. Then I created new design style that was later used for all the marketing communication of the school.

We implemented the website together in WordPress.

Content-first wireframes and final website design.

Dronload

Stock Photo/video Portal

Nov – Oct 2017

The vision of Dronload was to provide a one place for all high-quality image and video shots made by drone.

Similar to other stock image services, the website offered a search with filtering capabilities and a checkout process.

I worked on Dronload portal as a designer covering initial competitor analysis, overall design strategy and branding, and the UI of the portal along with user testing.

Aranys

E-shop Landing page

Sep 2017

Aranys is a czech e-shop with jewellery and accessories. As a designer for a digital agency InSociety, I was asked to prepare a design proposal for a new landing page. The goal was to bring fresh and modern look to the site.

The proposal was successful. However, I didn’t continue the project because I left the agency.

I aimed at a minimalistic and clean look with a strong accent colour.

Falcon Fitness

Supplements store

Jan – Feb 2017

Falcon Fitness offers all kinds of high-quality fitness supplements. Their online store, however, desperately needed a new look.

Since they didn’t have any brand strategy, just a logo, I created a new visual identity inspired by a strong contrast of yellow, black and white in the logo. The e-shop was then implemented in Presta shop.

Football Club

Mobile Magazine

Nov – Dec 2016

Traditional Czech sports magazine called Football Club decided to go with the digital trend and offer a mobile application. Readers could browse the magazine issues and based on the table of contents, decide if they want to purchase it.

The purchased issues were then available for reading in a digital form within the mobile app.

I designed the UI of the application with a focus on a minimalistic, yet traditional design that highlights the magazine content.

I paid attention to the effective use of motion design for seamless navigation between issues and their content.

Mecom

Web usability testing

July 2016

Mecom is the biggest producer of meat products in Slovakia. As one of many marketing channels, they had a website with recipes that used their products. The number of visitors was very low.

I was hired to run usability testing to uncover experience issues and suggest improvements to the page.

I ran usability tests with 5 participants and then conducted a heuristic evaluation of the web. I uncovered multiple major issues with interactions, navigation, and accessibility, and proposed solutions.

The improvements were implemented a year later and increased the conversion by over 150%.
